Company history

Since 2018. Every year, in order.

Every business claims longevity. Most of that is unsupported — a line in an About page nobody checks. This page is the opposite: the specific, dated, year-by-year record of what BotLogix actually built, starting with a chatbot agency in 2018 and ending with six live products today.

Quick Answer

How long has BotLogix been in business?

BotLogix was founded in Burlington, Ontario in 2018 by Steffen deGraaf, originally as a chatbot marketing agency. The company has operated continuously since — through a digital-marketing agency phase, a training and education product line, and since 2022, a shift into building and running its own live software products alongside client work.

  • Founded 2018 in Burlington, Ontario
  • Started as a chatbot agency for local restaurants, real estate, and trades
  • Ran a full-service digital automation practice through 2019–2021
  • Shifted to a product studio model starting 2022
  • Six products in active status today — see the full record at /proof

The record

Eight years, no gaps.

2018

Founded in Burlington, Ontario

Steffen launches BotLogix as a chatbot agency. First clients in Halton-region restaurants, real estate offices, and trades businesses losing customers to voicemail and slow response times.

2019

Full-service chatbot marketing agency

Expands past chatbots into a broader automation practice: Facebook Messenger marketing, Instagram DM automation, SMS text marketing, Google My Business marketing, and conversion-focused landing pages. Built for restaurants, salons and barbershops, dental offices, and real estate teams — including automated review generation, which was still a novel idea for small business in 2019.

2020

COVID pivot, then multi-channel automation

When in-person business shut down overnight, BotLogix published practical guidance to help small businesses adapt fast. Once the dust settled, the work expanded into voice AI for home services and professional partnerships across Canada and the US. Lead automation becomes a core specialty.

2021

Teaching the playbook

Runs an Instagram Automation Masterclass in partnership with MobileMonkey, plus a Friday Afternoon Training series and a Launch by Lunch bootcamp — training other businesses and agencies to run the same automation systems BotLogix was building for clients.

30-minute strategy session

For real businesses with real problems.

Not for tire kickers. Not for tech tourists looking for a demo. For business owners who already know something in their operation is broken — and want to know if AI can fix it.

This isn't about replacing people. It's about killing the bad business processes your team hates as much as you do — the manual work, the missed calls, the after-hours admin.

Strategy sessions are free. Strategy Days are $1,000, capped at 4 people per session. Larger teams or multi-location workshops by special arrangement — ask when you book.
